I grew up in New Orleans on the shores of Lake Pontchartrain in a small fishing community. I loved spending time outside with my family and friends, boating, bicycling along the levees, exploring the local parks and bayous, appreciating the beauty of South Louisiana.
My father was from the Mississippi Gulf Coast where we traveled often to visit his family. My grandmother (my Mom's Mom) was born and raised in the French Quarter. It was from her that I learned much about the rich history and culture we live in. I went to school in the inner city of New Orleans, marching in Mardi Gras parades, listening to Jazz music, and growing up on Cajun French cuisine.
Photography became an interest of mine at a young age. I continued to hone my skills and educate myself about techniques from traditional film to digital photography. All these experiences have led me to become the Fine Arts photographer I am today.
Traveling and working in and around New Orleans, South Louisiana, and the Mississippi Gulf Coast area as a Hospice Nurse, my photography was further inspired by the people, culture, and scenery.
I hope you enjoy seeing what I see through my lens.
